— The point

What you do here is already working. You already know that.

The question is what you can't see. Whether the work you're putting in is actually being absorbed — or slowly catching up with you underneath.

Your watch tells you how you slept.
We tell you why.

— Why this exists

There's a gap
between the work you put in
and what your body's actually doing with it.

You know your PBs. You know your splits. You know how many STRONG sessions you got through last week, how deep your Hyrox program is cutting, whether you hit the ice bath or not. Your watch fills in the rest — sleep, HRV, recovery score. The external signals are dialled.

What you rarely see is the internal side. Testosterone. Iron. Cortisol. Thyroid. Vitamin D. The chemistry underneath — the data that validates the work, or quietly tells you something isn't keeping up with what you're asking of your body.

— The baseline

35 markers.
A full snapshot of how you're running.

The CBT Baseline Panel — 35 biomarkers across 7 key areas of your health. Enough depth to tell you what's actually going on, without the friction of a longevity clinic. Processed by Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology. Returned to a mobile dashboard. Explained in plain English.

status

Vitamin D is one of the most commonly low markers we see in Australians — especially in winter. It affects mood, immunity, bone health and recovery.

— Good questions

The stuff you'd ask first.

01
Do I need a GP referral?
Nope. VTH operates under Australian pathology regulations that allow you to self-refer for private blood testing. Your test order comes straight to you by SMS. No doctor's appointment, no waiting room.
02
Where do I get tested?
Any Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology collection centre in Sydney — several within a few minutes of Cromer, Brookie and Narrabeen. Most visits take under 15 minutes. Knock it out before a morning session.
03
How long until I see results?
Most results come back within 24 hours of your sample being collected. Your dashboard updates live as each marker is processed.
04
How often should I retest?
We recommend every 12 weeks — one training cycle. First test is your baseline. Second shows a trend. From the third onward, your results start telling a real story of how your training, sleep, nutrition and recovery are actually landing.
05
I've got my results back. What happens next?
Your dashboard decodes every marker in plain English, and the built-in AI assistant can answer questions about what you're seeing — what a marker means, why it might be moving, what tends to shift it. From there, your CBT trainers already see how you train, recover and eat week to week — that context turns a number into a decision. For anything clinical or flagged as significant, your GP remains the right call. VTH is built to inform, not to diagnose.
06
I've been reading up on hormones and recovery. Will this help me know where I actually stand?
Yes. The Performance upgrade goes deep on the markers most people want real numbers on — testosterone (total, free, SHBG) and IGF-1 in the men's panel, and a full female hormone profile (oestradiol, progesterone, LH, FSH, prolactin) in the women's. Both panels include cortisol, full thyroid, iron status and inflammation. Whatever you're weighing up, the sensible first step is knowing your real numbers, then tracking how they move over time. That's what we're built for.
07
Performance (Women) — does the timing of my cycle matter?
For the cleanest read on oestradiol and progesterone, we recommend testing on day 2-5 of your cycle. The pathology team can walk you through timing when you book. If you're on hormonal contraception or your cycle isn't regular, the results are still useful — they're just interpreted slightly differently.
08
Is my data private?
Your results are yours alone. Chocolate Box never sees your individual data. Pathology runs through Douglass Hanly Moir (part of Sonic Healthcare) under Australian privacy legislation. Your VTH dashboard is protected to the same standards as your banking app.
09
What if something's out of range?
Your dashboard flags any markers outside typical range and explains what they might mean. For anything significant, follow the path above — AI assistant first, your GP if it warrants clinical review.
